Mightily mustachioed Sam Elliot stars in the made-for-HBO western The Quick and the Dead (1987). He plays mysterious gunslinger Con Vallian, who suddenly rides in to protect homesteaders Duncan (Tom Conti) and Susanna (Kate Capshaw) when trouble comes their way. Elliot, as always, makes an outstanding cowboy hero, so it’s Capshaw who surprises with a scorching see-through-shirt sequence as she washes up under a waterfall.
