Samuel L. Jackson stars as an ex-con trying to stay on the straight-and-narrow in The Samaritan (2012). 25 years ago, Foley (Jackson) had to kill his partner in crime after a con gone wrong. Now that he’s served his time, he promises himself that he will never again get involved in illegal enterprises. But it won’t be that easy since the local crime boss, Xavier (Tom Wilkinson), is hell-bent on involving him in a final grift.
