A remake of the 1987 thriller of the same name, The Stepfather (2009) stars Penn Badgley as Michael, a teenager who returns home from military school to find his mother (Sela Ward) happily in love and living with her new boyfriend, David (Dylan Walsh). But Michael soon begins to suspect (rightly) that David is a deranged serial killer. Unlike the original, this remake doesn’t have a naked Jill Schoelen, but we do get to see Amber Heard in a bikini.
