Michael York is a rookie police officer who's about to learn all about crooked coppers in The Strange Affair (1968), a swingin’ ’60s adaptation of a novel by Bernard Toms. London lawman Michael is shocked at the corruption surrounding him—his superior Jeremy Kemp is as dirty as they come, and he's out to bring Michael down to his level. He blackmails the poor newbie after he discovers that Mike's been indiscreetly touching the boobies of a girl he shouldn't be; the poor guy has to play along and plant evidence for his baddie boss, who's had it with playing by the rules to bust a group of drug-peddling ghouls. Hey, did somebody say "bust"? Because the lung nuts on Susan George are simply marvelous—she appears as the engaging, engorging mod-with-a-bod whom lucky Michael gets to screw.
