After another eighteen years in a coma, Kate wakes up with an aged body and a teenage brain, trying to find her way in an unfamiliar world. When Kate leaves the hospital and heads for home, to the chagrin of her parents (Robert Pugh and Geraldine James) and friends, she tries to piece together how she ended up comatose.
