CBS' supersoap The Young and the Restless debuted in 1973 and has been chugging on restlessly ever since, telling the sordid, steamy, sensational stories of the residents of fictional Genoa City, Wisconsin. The number one soap in America for 32 years before a brief dethroning from The Bold and the Beautiful, the show originally followed dual families: the working class single mom factory worker Liz Foster (Julianna McCarthy) and her kids, and the newspaper publishing multi-millionaire Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert), his hot young wife Jennifer (Dorothy Green), and all their children, who of course, all end up boning each other. The 80's saw the switch to a focus on the families of local cop Carl Williams (Brett Hadley), the sinister businessman Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and the cosmetic business running Abbott Family, led by Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland). Some of the wilder storylines include an old lady secretly being a former Nazi war criminal, a Vegas casino collapsing and injuring a ton of the cast, murders, overdoses, secret twins, and the rest of the soap opera staples. While the most famous actors on the show are likely longtime staples Eric Braeden, Doug Davidson, Peter Bergman, and Melody Thomas Scott, some of the huge names who once caled Geoa City home include Paul Walker, Shemar Moore, Eva Longoria and Tom Selleck. Since it's a daytime soap, things couldn't get too racy, but from Hunter King's hooters being all sorts of sweat covered in a sports bra, to Eileen Davidson's outright refusal to wear a bra, and even Sharon Case putting her great knockers in your face via a red bra, there was always some pretty young thing to ogle on The Young and the Restless. We just wish them and the rest were wearing even less!
