This Movie is Broken (2010) is half rom-com, half concert film, which is already awesome. It's the classic tale of the unrealized lifelong crush and the singular chance to make it happen, except with a twist. A dude named Bruno wakes up next to Caroline (Georgina Reilly), a girl he's loved all his life, but there's a problem: She's leaving tomorrow for school in France. Luckily, her favorite band (Broken Social Scene) is having a massive outdoor party tonight, and if he can get them in and make it an awesome night, he can probably make her his girlfriend. The concert segments were actually filmed at the band's real Harbourfest show, and the shots of Reilly answering the door in her underwear were filmed afterward. The movie may be broken, but our eyes are working just fine!
