When spoiled rich girl Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy), whose famous musician father died and left her seemingly set for life money-wise, discovers that her fortune has been swindled, she must do the unthinkable and get a job in the lighthearted comedy Uptown Girls (2003). Molly takes a gig as a nanny to uptight neat freak Ray (Dakota Fanning), who acts more like an adult than Molly does. Though completely mismatched at first, the pair begins to appreciate one another, Molly teaching Ray to loosen up and Ray teaching Molly about responsibility.
