Jessica Alba and John Kerry (not that John Kerry) star in Venus Rising (1995), a dystopian sci-fi fantasy about occupants of a secret high-tech prison who are set adrift after violence cripples the fortress. When the Pacifica Corporation collapses under the strain of rioting and food shortages, a prisoner and two hostages climb into a lifeboat and set sail for an alien shore, where bounty hunters are dispatched to track them down.
