A boorish urban family ventures out of the city for a disastrous holiday in the farcical comedy Viaje al paraíso (1985). Confident on their home turf, the Chilangos in question grow immediately quarrelsome after stepping into the verdant countryside. Sensing their weakness, a band of revolutionaries decides to hustle the family and make off with their hard-earned pesos, while cops and local politicians see the clan’s plight as an opportunity to make a quick P.R. score. Yirah Aparicio and Gabriela Roel play two members of the family who let the fresh country air wreak havoc with their libidos. The city girls take to screwing with the locals in charged scenes that feature mere scraps of clothing.
