The Lifetime original film Whitney (2015) is a biopic based on the tragically short life of music superstar Whitney Houston, played to perfection by Yaya DaCosta! Directed by Angela Bassett, the film follows Whitney's meteoric rise to superstardom, the beginning of her relationship with Bobby Brown (Arlen Escarpeta), their destructive marriage, and her struggles with drug addiction, which eventually led to her death.
