Not only are hallucinations of a talking dog the least of Elijah Wood's problems, they might actually help him get his life together on the dark FX comedy Wilfred. Based on an Australian series of the same name, Wilfred begins with Ryan (Wood), a former lawyer who has given up on life. He's about to commit suicide when his hot neighbor Jenna (Fiona Gubelmann) rings his doorbell, asking if he can watch her dog. To Ryan, Wilfred (Jason Gann) is a foul-mouthed, pot-smoking troublemaker, but to everyone else, he's just an adorable doggie. Wilfred and Ryan bond instantly, and the series follows the two on their misanthropic adventures in misery.
Fiona Gubelmann is positively fetch-ing as Wilfred's bikini-clad, ogle-worthy owner, and you'll be wagging your tail when Gabriella Pession guest stars as Ryan's foxy foreign love interest in episode 12. Wilfred will give your (wiener)dog a bone!
