Bellevue is a town - a small, blue-collar Canadian town where Detective Annie Ryder (played by True Blood babe Anna Paquin) works. It's the kind of town where everyone knows everyone, which is a bit disconcerting considering that Anna has had a lifelong stalker who leaves her riddles and a transgender teen has just gone missing. Annie is on and off again with her beau, who is also the father of her daughter, and grapples with a bit of a substance abuse problem, but is generally an awesome person and a great detective. She's also a beautiful woman, and she takes her shirt off early on in the series to bare a black bra during a hotel hookup scene!
