The Spanish production Si te dicen que caí (1989) is also known as Aventis--which refers to the term used for bizarre campfire tales that Spanish kids used to tell each other. Victoria Abril plays a nun who works as a nurse, and she’s soon using her own childhood mythology to piece together a mystery involving a corpse from her past. Antonio Banderas is the doctor and childhood pal who’s also involved in the convoluted tale. Abril ends up playing three different characters--which is fortunate, since a nun surely wouldn’t be involved in some of her very kinky sex scenes. Mercé Sans is also sans clothes during a bizarre scene where a guy’s dipping his French bread.
