Years before Vanna White was spinning around her letters on Wheel of Fortune, Anitra Ford was strutting her stunning stems around a sound stage as one of the original models on the immortal game show The Price is Right in the '70s. Born in California, Anitra started out as a model. She made her onscreen debut in 1966 as a "party guest" in the drama The Oscar and went on to appear in The Odd Couple (1970), The Love Machine (1971), Colombo (1971), and Love, American Style (1971). Her all-too-clothed TV appearances may have been the impetus to exploit herself the way curvy up-and-coming actresses did in the '70s -- by appearing in a string of exploitation films! The result was a full-frontal flash in the women's-prison flick The Big Bird Cage (1972), a baring of her buns in Invasion of the Bee Girls (1973), and a substantial role in a red negligee opposite Burt Reynolds in The Longest Yard (1974). Following her skin trysts, it was back to the tube, where Anitra looked a-nice in a series of guest spots on the most popular cop shows of the era, including Banacek (1972), S.W.A.T. (1975), Mannix (1971), and Starsky and Hutch (1975). In the late '70s, Anitra decided to end her acting career and went on to work in real estate instead. She maintained her other pursuits, including poetry, photography, and visual art -- she has even had her work displayed in galleries! Mr. Skin thinks Anitra's rack belongs in a gallery, too.
