Darkly sultry and very sexy, Jordan Bayne started her career on television, in the role of Julia Walker in the series Poltergeist: The Legacy, from 1996-1997. She moved on to small roles, one as Hambley in Silk Stalkings in 1998, and one as Melody Kane in Law & Order that same year, ticking off the box that so many young actresses in the 90s and 00s seemed almost required to do. Her first feature film was playing Claire LaRiviere in A Stranger in the Kingdom (1999), starring Martin Sheen, Ernie Hudson, and, quirky fact ahead, Angela Lansbury’s nephew David Lansbury, who was married to Ally Sheedy and had a kid with her. For her next big-screen role, she was Carla in Under Hellgate Bridge (2000), starring about a quarter of the minor cast of The Sopranos; she got naked in this one, but she had a dude on top of her, so it’s all side views covered by man-arms. It isn’t until her next film, Fire Over Afghanistan (2003) that you get to see Jordan’s bare boobs, and the top of her trimmed kitty, as she plays the character Kris Andrews in a precarious situation in the action drama. The star has since gone international, making movies for Spain and Croatia, in addition to adding roles like Dawn in One Night (2007) with Melissa Leo. Using her connections wisely, she wrote, produced, and directed the short film The Sea Is All I Know (2011), then got former co-stars Leo and Lansbury to star in it. She did well, because it won Best of Fest at the Palm Springs International ShortFest, Best Narrative Short at the Cincinnati International Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short at the California Independent Film Festival.
