The twin sister of doomed starlet Pier Angeli, Italian eyeful Marisa Pavan appeared in What Price Glory (1952) and Down Three Dark Streets (1954) before her sister’s pregnancy caused her to step in and take the role of Rosa Delle Rose in the acclaimed Tennessee Williams drama The Rose Tattoo (1955), for which she was nominated for an Oscar. After that, Marisa starred in a long list of movies including The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1956), Solomon and Sheba (1959), John Paul Jones (1959), and The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald (1977). She also married, divorced, and remarried Jean-Pierre Aumont, with whom she toured supper clubs as a singing duo in the 1960s. She never got naked in a movie, but we do get to see her in a sexy one-piece in the Louisiana love story The Rose Tattoo, and that’s hotter than crawfish gumbo cooked on a swamp fire.
