Magnificent Maori RickyLee is a Native New Zealander from the Wairapa region who got her first big break when Taika Waititi cast her in his coming-of-age dramedy Boy in 2010. Though her background is in theatre, she slowly became known in the screen world for her roles in This is Piki (2016) and Vegas (2021), as well as her work behind the scenes as a developer and producer for television programs like Taumanu (Reclaim) (2022), The Untold Tales of Tuteremoana (2022), and the feature film Marama (2025).
