The made-for-TV thriller The Cover Girl Murders (1993) tells the story of a group of models sent to an isolated island to stage a photo shoot by the owner of a struggling magazine, Rex Kingman (Lee Majors). Soon, Rex begins to make advances on the younger sister (Vanessa Angel) of his editor, Kate (Jennifer O'Neill), and bizarre accidents start claiming the models’ lives one by one. Eventually people begin to suspect that the accidents are staged and the models’ deaths are part of a publicity stunt cooked up by the unscrupulous Rex.
