Billy the Kid is just a misunderstood . . . well, kid, in the classic ’80s production Young Guns (1988). Emilio Estevez stars as the innocent outlaw, backed by a Desert Brat Pack that includes Kiefer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips. Charlie Sheen also shows up to slap some leather. Audiences got a kick out of this western, but it would’ve been a lot less enjoyable without Lisa Banes adding some modern skin to the old-timey violence.
